If you are going to spread bet on Danish shares like Coloplast then, looking at a spread betting website like Capital Spreads, at the moment you would find a spread betting price of 666.2 DKK - 668.8 DKK.
That means you could spread trade on Coloplast shares to increase higher than 668.8 DKK or decrease lower than 666.2 DKK.
When spread betting, investors bet on every unit the market increases or decreases; for the Coloplast market a unit is 1 Danish Krone of the share's price movement.

However, if the market had decreased to 648.7 DKK - 651.3 DKK, you might decide to close your spread bet to prevent further losses. Assuming this was the case, you would sell the market at 648.7 DKK.
You would do this with the same £5 per Krone stake:
Profit/Loss = (final price of the market - opening price of the market) x stake per Krone
Profit/Loss = (648.7 DKK - 668.8 DKK) x £5 per Krone stake
Profit/Loss = -20.1 DKK x £5 per Krone
Profit/Loss = -£100.50 loss
5) How do you Spread Bet on the Coloplast Market to Go Down?
A useful benefit of placing a spread trade is that you can short the markets.
When we began this example, the price was 666.2 DKK - 668.8 DKK.
If you were to go short of Coloplast at 666.2 DKK and the shares decreased then the spread could become 642.5 DKK - 645.1 DKK. In that case, you could close your spread bet for a profit by buying at 645.1 DKK.
Profit/Loss = (opening price of the market - final price of the market) x stake per Krone

Profit/Loss = £105.50 profit
Nevertheless, if the market had increased to 686.6 DKK - 689.2 DKK, you might decide to close your trade to restrict your losses. If so, you would buy the market at 689.2 DKK.
With the same £5 per Krone stake:
Profit/Loss = (opening price of the market - final price of the market) x stake per Krone
Profit/Loss = (666.2 DKK - 689.2 DKK) x £5 per Krone stake
Profit/Loss = -23.0 DKK x £5 per Krone
Profit/Loss = -£115.00 loss
