Natural gas closed lower on Thursday ending a three day short covering rally off Monday's low. Stochastics and the RSI are turned bullish hinting that a low might be in or is near. Closes above the 20day moving average crossing are needed to confirm that a short-term low has been posted. If it renews the multi year decline, monthly support crossing is the next downside target.

Natural gas closed higher on Wednesday and the high-range close sets the stage for a steady-to-higher opening on Thursday. Stochastics and the RSI are diverging and are turning neutral-to-bearish hinting that a short-term top might be in or is near. Closes below the 20day moving average crossing are needed to confirm that a short-term top has been posted. If it extends the rally off December's low, August's high crossing is the next upside target.
